During this time of construction the Housing/New Building Committee has been doing some brainstorming regarding the parsonage renovations.  The plans in this photo are simply one stage in the brainstorming process, and do not reflect any final decisions.  Remember to keep these faithful servants in your prayers as they work through the ideas of what will be done with these renovations and the work of completing the new Mission and Ministry building.

Work on the new Mission and Ministry Building continues at MLLC.

Each week there are new things happening. Pretty soon the walls and roof will be going up.  Then we will move into completion of the inside.

We are continually thankful to God and to the congregation for our work together on this project.  This will be be a facility which all generations will use.  This is a facility which will be used to bless the community of Carmine, and will help extend our reach to the ends of the earth.

Thank you for your continued partnership in ministry.  Remember to keep MLLC in your prayers during the construction and completion of the Mission and Ministry Building.

The foundation has been poured for the new Mission and Ministry Building at MLLC.  We are so thankful to God that the work is moving along well.  Thank you also to all who have prayed, given, encouraged and supported this new addition to our ministry facilities.  Our partnership matters more than we can all express.  We look forward to using this facility to enhance our ministries with people of all ages.  We look forward to doing ministry here which touches the lives of humanity to the ends of the earth.

An “archaeological” discovery.  This appears to be an old well which was on the lot near the new building.

We Have Power

New Building Light Pole Apr0114

Electric Power, that is.  The electric power lines for the new Mission and Ministry Building are being installed today, April 1, 2014.  Our friends at Bluebonnet Electric Coop were on church grounds today installing the new pole and lines for our facilities.  Their work is just one of many steps in constructing the new building.

Three things are needed for this project to be a wonderful success.

1 – Your prayers to our loving God for our mission and outreach efforts.  Together, under God’s loving leadership, we will be able to reach others with the Word of God and the loving kindness of God.

2 – Your encouragement, support and positive words regarding this new direction in ministry.

3 – Your financial gifts to pay off this project and to provide for furnishings.

Groundbreaking for New Building

Image

“With faith in Jesus Christ, this work is begun and this ground is broken in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

With these words on a cold, wet and windy Sunday morning on March 9, 2014, we broke ground on our new Mission and Ministry Building.  The weather could not dampen the spirits of the people of Martin Luther Lutheran Church as we took the next step in our building project.  Construction is starting very soon.

We are building this additional facility to house ministries both for the community and the congregation.  Our hope and plan is that what goes on in this building will be a blessing to the ends of the earth.  Much of what will go on in this building will be the various ministries which have been occurring in the parsonage.  Since that building will be converted back to housing for the pastor, those ministries needed a new home.  Other ministries will also use the building.

Those ministries which will use the new building include:

*Quilting for:  Lutheran World Relief, Camp for All, Lutheran Social Services of the South, Krause Center

*Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings

*Lutheran Youth Organization events

*Combined Community Action – County Senior Citizens meals and programming

*Church events

*Family parties and receptions

*Storage

*New Ideas which the Lord will call us to enact for the glory of God.

We look forward to the great things God will continue to do through the ministries of MLLC.
