Groundbreaking for New Building

“With faith in Jesus Christ, this work is begun and this ground is broken in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

With these words on a cold, wet and windy Sunday morning on March 9, 2014, we broke ground on our new Mission and Ministry Building.  The weather could not dampen the spirits of the people of Martin Luther Lutheran Church as we took the next step in our building project.  Construction is starting very soon.

We are building this additional facility to house ministries both for the community and the congregation.  Our hope and plan is that what goes on in this building will be a blessing to the ends of the earth.  Much of what will go on in this building will be the various ministries which have been occurring in the parsonage.  Since that building will be converted back to housing for the pastor, those ministries needed a new home.  Other ministries will also use the building.

Those ministries which will use the new building include:

*Quilting for:  Lutheran World Relief, Camp for All, Lutheran Social Services of the South, Krause Center

*Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings

*Lutheran Youth Organization events

*Combined Community Action – County Senior Citizens meals and programming

*Church events

*Family parties and receptions

*Storage

*New Ideas which the Lord will call us to enact for the glory of God.

We look forward to the great things God will continue to do through the ministries of MLLC.
