We give thanks for God’s provision of New Members

At MLLC we continue to give thanks to God for his provision of new members of the congregation.  We welcome new members through various means:

*the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, at any age.

*by affirmation of faith for those who have been baptized previously in another Christian faith community.  Often these individuals have not been a member of congregation for a number of years.

*by transfer from another Lutheran or other Christian congregation.

New Members from February 4, 2018.  Ray and Joann Ullrich, LouAnn Stokes, Robbie, Diane and Caden Tovey.

 

 

We welcomed Sawyer Ray (above) to the family of God on Sunday, February 12, 2017. Sawyer, daughter of Lauren and Jackson, entered into new life with Jesus Christ through water and the Word.

 

We welcomed several new members by affirmation of faith and transfer of membership on Sunday, November 6.  Pictured above are Scott and Amie, and Pat.  Scott and Amie transferred with their son Christian (not pictured) from a Lutheran congregation in another county.  Scott and Amie were married at MLLC.  Pat joined by affirmation of her faith, and was active in the Episcopal Church where she lived previously.  Also received as members, but not pictured, are Nicki and daughter Kalli, who transferred from a Lutheran Congregation in another county.  Nicki was married at MLLC, and she joins her husband and youngest child as members of MLLC.

 

We welcomed a new Christian by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on Saturday, October 22, 2016.  Bridget, the daughter of Colt and Haley, entered into new life with Jesus Christ through water and the Word.

 

We welcomed three new Christians by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on Saturday, May 14, 2016.  This was part of our Vigil of Pentecost service.  Aaron, Amanda and son Liam joined MLLC that day.

 

 

We welcomed a new Christian by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on Sunday, October 12, 2014.  Hope, the daughter of Bradley and Marci, entered into new life with Jesus Christ through water and the Word of God.  We give thanks for the faith which is being passed along to her by parents and her baptismal sponsors:  James and Connie.  Hope is the third child baptized in her family.  Hope is second cousin to Nicole who was baptized the night before.

 

 

We welcomed a new Christian through the waters of Holy Baptism on Saturday, October 11, 2014.  Nicole, the daughter of Nathan and Heather, received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism at our Saturday night worship service.  We give thanks for the faith of her parents, as well as her baptismal sponsors: Haley, Colt, Kevin and Amanda.  Nicole is second cousin to Hope, who was baptized the next day.  Nicole is the third child baptized in her family.

 

 

We welcomed back as a new member of MLLC, Kay, on September 27.  She was baptized and confirmed at MLLC as a youth. Later she joined another congregation.  In the past year she has been attending the congregation of her childhood and decided to reconnect with home church.  She has siblings who are also active members of the congregation.

 

 

We welcomed a new Christian on Sunday, August 24, 2014.  See the photo above.  Kannon, the child in the photo, the son of Tanner and Brittany (right), was baptized at worship on a joyful day at MLLC.  We are very thankful for the faith in Jesus Christ which is being passed along in this family.  Thanks are also offered to Kannon’s baptismal sponsors (left), two of whom could be in attendance at the service.  The third baptismal sponsor participated by an internet video communication link to her location out of state.

 

 

 

We welcomed three new Christians at the Great Vigil of Easter, April 19, 2014.  See the photo above.  Tonia and her children, Ally and Judd, were baptized at this very special service.  Tonia’s husband, Jonathan, is already a member of the congregation.  Tonia and 8 year old Ally received their First Holy Communion at the Great Vigil of Easter as well.  Welcome Tonia, Ally and Judd!  Thank you Jonathan for sharing your faith in Christ with your family.

 

On Sunday, March 30, 2014 we welcomed a new Christian through the waters of Holy Baptism.  (photo not available.) Braylie was presented for baptism by her parents, Kirby and Brittney.  We are thankful that her parents are sharing their faith with their daughter.  Welcome Braylie!

On Sunday March 2, 2014, we welcomed Ann to the fellowship of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.  See photo above.  She grew up in the Episcopal Church in another community, and has found a place to live out her faith and ministry at MLLC.  Welcome Ann!
