On Sunday, September 18, we will recognize the faithful service of Kelli Meinholdt. At the end of July this year Kelli stepped down as the director of our Martin Luther Lutheran School. She served in this role for 14 years, almost since the school was founded.
Special Thank You Event
We invite you to show your thanks to Kelli with a special recognition on Sunday, September 18.
This will include several elements:
At worship (9:45 a.m.) we will have a commemoration for her ministry among us.
After worship (about 10:55/11:00 a.m.) we will have a reception in her honor.
You are invited to add to the day of thanks in one or more of these ways:
- Attend the worship service and reception
- Make a financial gift to the Martin Luther Lutheran School in honor of Kelli. Please include a note that you are doing this in her honor. You can make checks payable to: MLLS, making note of this gift being in honor of Kelli Meinholdt.
- Provide a monetary gift for Kelli through the church office. Cash or checks, payable to MLLC. It would be helpful to have these by noon on September 14 so we can write one check to Kelli.
- Bring or send a card or letter to express your gratitude
- Include a gift of your choice with your note
If you cannot attend on September 18, know that we can receive these personal notes and gifts at the church office to pass these along to Kelli.
If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Pastor David Tinker at the church office – 979-278-3388.
We have a fantastic Nursery School and Daycare ministry at MLLC. We continually give thanks to God for his provision of this ministry in our community. This year we are renewing our Fundraiser and Celebration meal. We invite you to get your tickets now. Details below.
The Martin Luther Lutheran School (MLLS) Fundraiser Dinner is on Sunday, February 7, at Carmine Hall, with pick up from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The deadline for ticket purchase is Sunday, January 31. Tickets for the to-go-only meal are $10.00 and available in the church office, on Sunday at worship, and from MLLS students. The meal will consist of 6-oz. chicken-fried steak, German potatoes, green beans, and cream gravy.
A sign-up sheet is in the Narthex to provide cookies/cupcakes/other desserts (either packaged separately in zip-lock bags or on plates to be easily picked up), and the MLLS students will make Valentine’s cards to place with each meal.
Donations to MLLS will be accepted for the desserts as you pick up your items.
We are getting close to beginning the new school year for our Education Ministry of the Martin Luther Lutheran School. Together we are sharing God’s love, announcing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and serving families of young children. This ministry continues to be a blessing to the many children and their families who receive this service.
We especially encourage you to tell others about the Martin Luther Lutheran School. Here is a link to the main page about our school on this web site:

The students of our Daycare Ministry – Martin Luther Lutheran School (MLLS) – presented their annual program recently. On Friday evening, December 5, the older students in this ministry presented songs and poetry which proclaimed the good news that Jesus Christ is born. Parents, grandparents, siblings, relatives and friends of students, staff and school board members gathered to enjoy this special presentation.
The students practiced for weeks to get ready. They did a great job, as always.
We are thankful for the ministry of church musician Nancy Eilers who accompanied the singing.
Many gathered for food and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall following the program.
The Early Childhood Education ministry MLLC is the Martin Luther Lutheran School (MLLS). On Tuesday, September 2, 2014 our new school year began. With songs and prayer we ushered in the new year. We gathered in the Fellowship Hall, which is just at the end of the Christian Education/MLLS wing of our building. Our pastor led the students, teachers and parents in prayer.
All MLLS students and staff, along with some parents, were on hand to pray in and sing in the new school year.
We are always welcoming of new students. Click this link to find out more. Or call our school office at: 979-278-3380, and speak to our school director, Kelli Meinholdt.
Here are some photos taken at the special time of prayer and song.
Next week, on September 2, the new school year begins for Martin Luther Lutheran School (MLLS). We are excited about this new year and all that comes with it. With this new year MLLS has updated the web links on this web site regarding the school, tuition and fees, parent handbook, as well as the menus for snacks and lunch in September.
Note that things look much the same, but there are various items which needed to be changed based on School Board decisions, state law, etc.
