Coming Together in Faith in Christ in Difficult Times
The four area churches in the Crossroads Shared Lutheran Ministry will be hosting a special Service of Prayer and Faith for Times of Drought and Rain. Wednesday, August 24, at 7:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top (412 S. White St. in Round Top). All are welcome at this brief service which will focus on the renewal of our faith in the Lord who provides in all times – perhaps times of drought with the hope of rain or in challenging times when neighbors, such as those in Kentucky, are impacted by too much rain. The other churches hosting the event are Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby, and Waldeck Lutheran Church in Waldeck.
Putting our faith in action, an offering will be given with all proceeds benefiting the A.M.E.N. Food Pantry in La Grange. We’re asking attendees to bring monetary gifts, as well as non-perishable goods, particularly the ones which are in short supply at A.M.E.N. They especially need pork & beans, ranch style beans, oatmeal, canned fruit, canned stew, chicken, salmon, hamburger helper, and saltines. Any monetary offerings at the service will be given directly to A.M.E.N. Food Pantry. For more information, please call the Bethlehem Lutheran Church office at (979) 249-3686 or reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
