Marjorie Ann Morris, age 83 of Brenham, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Marjorie Ann Kunkel was born February 10, 1938 to parents Walter and Evelyn Mertz Kunkel in Washington County. She was baptized at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine on August 29, 1943, and later confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top on April 6, 1952 That was Palm Sunday in 1952. Marjorie was a 1956 graduate of Burton High School. She later attended Blinn College.
Marjorie lived in Dallas most of her life. There she worked for John Hancock Life Insurance Company as a claims adjuster. She retired in 2000 and moved to Carmine to care for her mother. Marjorie enjoyed her membership in The Red Hat Society. Later, she moved to Bluffview Villas in Brenham.
She had a love for animals and always had a dog as a pet. Memorials in Marjorie’s honor are requested to Animal Friends of Washington County and City of Brenham Pet Adoption Center.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving family includes: her siblings and their spouses, Henry and Chris Ullrich of Burton, Edith Ullrich of Dallas, Ray and Joann Ullrich of Burton, Joy and Glenn Treude of Burton; four nieces; two nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
