We have be preparing all year for this. Each year on Palm Sunday the people of Martin Luther Lutheran Church (MLLC) dedicate the quilts, baby care kits, school kits and health kits which have assembled in the past year. In recent weeks, and especially in the past few days, there has been a flurry of activity around the facility. People have been assembling kits and finalizing work on quilts. A crew of people were bringing the items over the sanctuary. Some more folks will be placing these items for display in the sanctuary. On this weekend at worship we will offer thanks and praise to God as these items are dedicated for use and sent to the ends of the earth. The photo above shows some of our quilts being made ready for presentation on Sunday. Below is a photo of some of our dedicated volunteers preparing the baby care kits and health kits.
Most of these kits and quilts will be given to Lutheran World Relief. This faithful organization distributes these items around the world. We are thankful for our partnership with fellow Lutheran Christians as we work to bring compassion and care to people in need across the world.
We plan to have more information about the dedication service after the weekend.
