Martin Luther Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  MLLC is part of the regional grouping, or synod, of ELCA congregations called the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod.

Our presiding Bishop is Rev. Yehiel Curry elected July 30, 2025 at the 2025 ELCA Churchwide Assembly being held July 28-August 2 at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Our Synodical Bishop is Tracey Breashears Schultz, Houston, Texas, was elected May 17, 2025 to serve a six-year term as bishop of the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod of the Evangelical Luther Church in America (ELCA).
