Job Opening: After School Program Staff

The People of MLLC have voted to move forward with the plan to offer an After School Program.  This will begin with the new school year in August 2018.

The congregation and School Committee are seeking to hire staff members for this after school program.  Here is the information from the School Committee about these available staff positions:

The MLLC After-School Program has 2 positions to be filled by August 2018 working with children age Kindergarten- eighth grade.

  1. Certified Director – Requirements for certification can be found at dfps.state.tx.us

Note: If you have a teaching certificate, it is simple to get certified.

  • High school diploma
  • 24 months child care experience at a state certified school
  • At least 2 references
  • Ability to supervise and interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • CPR certificate
  • Clear background

 

  1. Child-Care Worker
  • At least 2 references required
  • Previous child care experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise and interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to work after-school hours (approximately 3:30 – 6:00)
  • Be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • CPR certificate
  • Clear background
